Uni 2282 PN16 flanges are designed for situations where problems that may arise in prefabricated piping systems need to be eliminated.  UNI flanges eliminate the need to rely on off-site manufacturers and machine shops.Different alloy grades can be used to manufacture of Uni standard flanges, such as alloy steel, carbon steel, stainless steel, duplex and super duplex steel, as well as nickel and copper steel. The materials used to produce these UNI flanges along with the PN will depend on the type of application the components will be used for.

The connection types for UNI flanges include flat face,lap joint face,raised face, ring type joint,male and female face,tongue and groove face.  When selecting a flange for any application, there are several aspects to consider, such as cost, pressure ratings, the material used to make the flange and the setup it will be used for.  For example, Uni PN10 carbon steel flanges, while a cheaper alternative to stainless steel, have lower corrosion resistance and mechanical strength than grade 316 stainless steel.
