AGOGO FPSO: A Milestone Achievement

On the morning of July 20th, the highly anticipated “super factory at sea,” AGOGO FPSO, departed from the dock, marking the successful completion and delivery of this significant conversion project at China Resources Dalian Shipyard. According to Upstream news, the FPSO will head to COSCO Shipping Heavy Industry’s shipyard in Shanghai for commissioning.

AGOGO FPSO is the third FPSO conversion project between China Resources Dalian and YINSON Company. The project involved converting a 2009-built 320,000-ton VLCC supertanker into a 333-meter-long, 60-meter-wide, and 30.5-meter-deep FPSO, dubbed the “super factory at sea.” The project commenced on February 8, 2023, with a total conversion period of 17.5 months. The FPSO will serve in West Africa, specifically Angola, with AZULE Company as the end customer.
