Haihao Group Delivers Large-Diameter SA/A105N Flanges for a Singapore Industrial Pipeline Project
As industrial infrastructure projects continue to expand across Southeast Asia, demand for reliable forged steel flanges remains strong, particularly for large-diameter pipeline systems operating under demanding service conditions.
Recently, Haihao Group completed the production and shipment of a batch of carbon steel flanges for a customer in Singapore. The order covered a wide range of flange types, including blind flanges, welding neck flanges, and slip-on flanges manufactured from SA/A105N forged carbon steel in accordance with ASME and BS standards.
Supporting Multiple Pipeline Connection Requirements
Unlike standard procurement orders that focus on a single flange type, this project required several different configurations to accommodate various sections of the customer’s piping system.
The shipment included:
- ASME B16.5 Blind Flanges from 8″ to 24″
- Class 150, Class 300, and Class 600 pressure ratings
- ASME B16.47 Series A large-diameter blind flanges up to 36″
- Welding Neck Flanges ranging from 10″ to 26″
- BS 3293 Slip-On Flanges for auxiliary pipeline connections
Such a combination is commonly seen in refinery upgrades, utility networks, water treatment facilities, and process plants where different connection methods are required throughout the project.
Why SA/A105N Remains the Preferred Flange Material
For carbon steel flange applications, SA/A105N continues to be one of the most widely specified forged materials worldwide.
The material offers an excellent balance between strength, machinability, and welding performance, making it suitable for pressure piping systems operating in oil & gas, petrochemical, marine, and industrial environments.
For this Singapore project, the customer specifically requested compliance with material specifications to ensure compatibility with existing pipeline infrastructure and project documentation.
Attention to Surface Finish and Dimensional Accuracy
Although flanges may appear simple in design, dimensional precision is critical during installation.
Bolt hole alignment, raised face machining, flange thickness, and overall dimensions must comply with the applicable standard to avoid costly field modifications.
To meet the project requirements, all flanges underwent:
- Dimensional inspection
- Visual examination
- Marking verification
- Surface preparation
- Protective black paint coating
Particular attention was given to the large-diameter ASME B16.47 flanges, where manufacturing tolerances become increasingly important as flange size increases.
Large-Diameter Flanges for Heavy Industrial Applications
One of the highlights of this shipment was the inclusion of 26-inch and 36-inch flanges.
Large-diameter forged flanges are typically used in:
- Water transmission pipelines
- Cooling water systems
- Petrochemical facilities
- Power generation projects
- Offshore and marine infrastructure
Manufacturing these products requires not only forging capability but also precise machining and inspection processes to ensure proper fit-up at the installation site.
Serving Customers Beyond Product Supply
For many international buyers, selecting a flange supplier is about more than purchasing individual components.
Reliable delivery schedules, consistent material quality, complete documentation, and technical communication are often just as important as the products themselves.
Through years of supplying flanges, fittings, and pipes to customers across Southeast Asia, Europe, the Middle East, and South America, Haihao Group has developed a production and quality control system capable of supporting both routine procurement and project-based orders.
If you are sourcing ASME B16.5 blind flanges, ASME B16.47 large-diameter flanges, welding neck flanges, or custom forged flange products, Haihao Group welcomes your inquiry and technical requirements.
