Heat Treatment Requirements:

All forgings must undergo heat treatment:

For carbon steel and high-strength low-alloy steel, the heat treatment options include normalizing, normalizing followed by tempering, or quenching followed by tempering.

For alloy steel, the treatment options are normalizing followed by precipitation aging or quenching followed by precipitation aging.

Minimum Tempering Temperature:

The minimum tempering temperature for all steel types is 540°C.

For alloy steel, the precipitation aging process should be conducted within a temperature range of 540-665°C.
